Thrift Stores. Most of the clothes in them aren't something you think you would wear, but with a little bit of work you can easily transform an old dress into a shirt, or an old pair of jeans into funky high-waisted shorts. I bought a pair of old, washed-out Ralph Lauren high-waisted straight leg jeans for $2.25. My sister bought a pair of old Gap Jeans for the same. With a little cutting and sewing she revamped them to look like something you could find on a shelf at Urban Outfitters for $50. Along with the fact she saved $48...no one else will have the exact same pair! Always a plus!
